The big questions I hear around this time of year...

What can I do for extra credit?  I always get asked about extra credit in the last week of a quarter. My answer, as always, is that my English students can write up to five extra book reports. The book reports must be from my list, give evidence that they actually read the book, and also be a minimum of one page in length. UPDATED: 11-12-18 When is everything due? The end of the second quarter is January 11th. All assignments must be completed and turned in by then. Book reports will be due January 11th.

The Skinny on Book Reports

Just wanted to throw out a reminder that my English Language Arts classes are required to complete one book report each quarter. There are 20 different options to choose from for the book report. They can be found on my school webpage and on this blog. Click the "waffle" to expand the menu and choose Book Reports. The book that the student reads must be at least 80 pages in length. The majority of the book reports are at least one page in length. When handwritten, the reports should be about 1 and 1/4 pages long (unless the student has really small, compact handwriting.) When typed, the book report should be 1 page long, double spaced, size 12 Times New Roman or size 11 Calibri font. The book report must give evidence that the student read the book.
